In 2016, Davalyn partnered with John P. Casciano to provide our valued clients with an expanded array of the Human Resources services.

During his civilian business career, Mr. Casciano, has served in a number of significant management positions as the principal Human Resources executive and key business partner at both the corporate and operating division level with several US and global manufacturing and high technology organizations. He has been responsible for achieving strategic business and organizational objectives through transformational HR leadership and change management. The depth and breadth of his varied and diverse experience has resulted in significant value for the organizations with which he has been associated. In short, Mr. Casciano has a proven track record of improving HR and organizational competence which has resulted in building more effective businesses.

Mr. Casciano recently concluded a successful 22 year career as Vice President and Country Manager, Human Resources with Sandvik Inc., the $2.5 billion 4,000 employee US subsidiary of Sandvik AB, a Swedish based high technology materials and engineering manufacturer. While with Sandvik he had executive responsibility for all US human resources, employee and labor relations initiatives, acquisitions and divestitures, as well as consulting on global leadership programs, expatriate issues, international business strategy development and succession planning. Prior to Sandvik, Mr. Casciano served as the Manager, Personnel with Automatic Switch Company (ASCO). At ASCO, he was instrumental in completing the HR integration of the Emerson Electric’s acquisition specifically addressing cultural, organizational, compensation, employee benefits, and leadership issues. Prior to ASCO, Mr. Casciano served as the Manager, Corporate Benefits for the ADT Company where he had full responsibility of managing a $175 million employee benefits program including all welfare insurance, pension, profit sharing, 401(k) and key executive benefit plans for over 10,000 employees. As Manager, Personnel for ADT Security Systems, he had responsibility for all personnel, labor relations and office services for this multi-location manufacturing and distribution division. Prior to ADT, Mr. Casciano worked for the Electric Boat Division, General Dynamics where he was responsible for the implementation and coordination of all OSHA safety regulations and DOD security directives and assisted in industrial and labor relations for a $35 million, 600 employee manufacturing site.

Before entering the civilian business sector, Mr. Casciano served as an Intelligence Officer with the US Army stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, from 1976 to 1979. Following his initial tour of active duty, Mr. Casciano continued his military career as a Reserve Officer. In 1990, he was recalled to active duty during Desert Storm and served as a Brigade Operations Officer. In 2011, he retired with 26 years of combined service as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Mr. Casciano earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Johns Hopkins University and a Master of Divinity degree from the Princeton Theological Seminary. He is also a graduate of the US Army Military Intelligence Officer Course, the Counterintelligence Officer Course, the Infantry Officer Course and the Command and General Staff College.

Mr. Casciano is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, the American Legion and the Wounded Warrior Project. He has served as Co-Chair, the Milton United Methodist Building Committee, Chair, and Stewardship Committee and is an active Liturgist and speaker.
