Our client is a rapidly growing technology company that provides telematics, GPS tracking, AI-enabled camera systems, connected equipment, and fleet management solutions to customers across the construction, mining, transportation, and industrial sectors. Their technology helps customers improve safety, equipment utilization, operational visibility, and productivity across mobile equipment fleets.
As the company continues its rapid growth, they are seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer who enjoys working directly with customers and technology in the field. This position offers a unique opportunity to join an organization during an exciting growth phase and play a key role in building its field service capabilities.
Position Summary:
The Field Service Engineer will serve as the company’s primary technical representative, responsible for installing, configuring, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting the company’s complete portfolio of connected hardware and fleet technology solutions.
This position is intentionally designed to begin as a hands-on individual contributor. As the organization expands, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help establish service processes, mentor additional field personnel, and ultimately build and lead a larger field service organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, commission, and support telematics, GPS tracking, AI camera systems, mobile communications equipment, and connected fleet hardware.
- Perform customer-site installations on construction, mining, transportation, industrial, and fleet equipment.
- Troubleshoot hardware, electrical, communication, networking, software, and connectivity issues.
- Diagnose equipment, sensor, wiring, power, and communication problems to ensure reliable system performance.
- Conduct customer training on system operation, hardware functionality, software platforms, and best practices.
- Provide technical support during product deployments, upgrades, and customer implementations.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Product Management, Customer Success, and Sales to resolve customer issues and improve product performance.
- Document installations, service activities, troubleshooting efforts, and customer interactions.
- Support product demonstrations and technical evaluations when required.
- Travel extensively to customer locations throughout North America, with occasional travel throughout Latin America.
- Assist in developing field service procedures, documentation, and best practices.
- As the company grows, help recruit, mentor, and develop future Field Service Engineers while contributing to the development of the field service organization.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on field service, service engineering, commissioning, installation, or technical support experience.
- Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, or supporting technical hardware in customer environments.
- Strong electrical, electronic, electromechanical, controls, automation, diesel, or mobile equipment troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to diagnose hardware, wiring, communication, networking, and equipment-related issues.
- Excellent customer-facing communication and technical problem-solving abilities.
- The successful candidate must be fluent in Portuguese and English.
- Willingness to travel extensively to customer locations.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple customer priorities.

Compensation: $100,000 – $150,000 Base Salary + Bonus Opportunity
