Customer Service Representative / Inside Sales Representative

Our client is a growing manufacturer of engineered steel castings and metal components serving customers across the oil & gas, flow control, valve, pump, petrochemical, power generation, and industrial processing industries.

They are seeking a Customer Service Representative / Inside Sales Representative to support customer accounts, coordinate order activity, assist with quotations, and serve as a key liaison between customers and manufacturing operations. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with customers, production teams, quality personnel, and supply chain partners while developing a career within the metals and industrial manufacturing sector.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers regarding quotations, orders, delivery schedules, and product-related inquiries.
  • Support customer accounts by managing order activity, tracking project requirements, and ensuring timely communication throughout the order lifecycle.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations for steel castings, industrial castings, machined components, and engineered metal products.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, operations, and logistics teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Monitor open orders and proactively communicate updates regarding production schedules and delivery commitments.
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns related to quality, delivery, pricing, and order fulfillment.
  • Develop strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities to expand account activity.
  • Follow up on inbound inquiries and support business development efforts through responsive customer engagement.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, quotations, and order information within company systems.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts focused on customer satisfaction, service levels, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a steel foundry, iron foundry, steel castings, industrial castings, metal manufacturing, machining, or related industrial environment.
  • Experience supporting customers within the oil & gas, valve, pump, flow control, petrochemical, refining, pipeline, power generation, or industrial equipment markets is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of foundry operations, casting processes, manufacturing environments, and industrial products.
  • Strong customer service, inside sales, account management, or order management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both customers and internal teams.
  • Experience working with quotations, pricing, order tracking, delivery coordination, and customer support activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and standard business software.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish language skills are a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: $50,000 – $60,000
