Field Service Manager

A rapidly growing industrial technology organization is seeking a Field Service Manager to support deployment, installation, configuration, validation, troubleshooting, and field operations for industrial IoT, telemetry, telematics, GPS tracking, fleet technology, and connected equipment solutions.

This role will lead field deployment activities across customer sites while supporting hardware installations, machine connectivity, technical troubleshooting, field operations, technician coordination, commissioning, diagnostics, and operational support for enterprise fleet and industrial customers.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on experience with telemetry systems, telematics platforms, CAN bus integrations, connected equipment, mobile electronics, GPS systems, machine data, industrial IoT deployments, field service operations, and customer-facing technical support environments.

Remote / field-based role supporting customers throughout the United States

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead field deployment activities for industrial telemetry, telematics, fleet management, GPS tracking, connected equipment, industrial IoT, and operational technology solutions
  • Coordinate installation schedules, deployment workflows, field operations, technician support, commissioning activities, and customer-facing service operations
  • Support installation and configuration of GPS devices, telematics hardware, telemetry systems, cameras, sensors, tablets, antennas, harnesses, mobile electronics, and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot hardware, firmware, connectivity, configuration, cellular communication, installation, and machine data issues in field environments
  • Coordinate and support third-party technicians, contractors, field installers, service providers, and technical partners
  • Validate installation quality, operational readiness, deployment success, equipment functionality, and customer acceptance activities
  • Support device activation, diagnostics, testing, inventory management, replacement coordination, firmware updates, and deployment logistics
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, installation manuals, electrical documentation, and technical procedures
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, implementation, customer support, deployment, and technical services teams
  • Maintain high standards for safety, documentation, installation quality, troubleshooting, commissioning, and customer communication
  • Support future development and leadership of a growing field service, deployment, and technical support organization

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in field service, telemetry, telematics installation, industrial IoT, fleet technology deployment, mobile electronics, connected equipment, technical operations, or field support environments
  • Hands-on experience with GPS systems, telemetry systems, telematics platforms, CAN bus integrations, connected devices, machine diagnostics, vehicle electronics, sensors, cameras, asset tracking systems, or industrial equipment technology
  • Experience supporting heavy equipment, off-highway equipment, fleet operations, transportation, logistics, industrial equipment, mining, manufacturing, construction equipment, or operational technology environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical systems, connectivity, firmware, hardware installation, machine diagnostics, commissioning, and field support
  • Experience coordinating field technicians, contractors, installation partners, or distributed service teams preferred
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, installation documentation, and technical manuals
  • Comfortable traveling to customer sites, industrial facilities, maintenance shops, fleet yards, construction sites, mining operations, and operational environments as needed
  • Strong communication, organizational, customer-facing, and technical support skills
  • Bilingual English/Portuguese communication skills are required

Compensation: $100,000 – $150,000 Base Salary + Bonus Opportunity
