Our client, a leading metals distributor supplying aluminum and other metals to the aerospace and defense industries, is seeking a General Manager to lead their operations. This company’s commitment to quality and customer service has established them as a trusted partner.

The General Manager will have a strong background in metals distribution, with a focus on serving aerospace and defense customers. P&L experience is helpful, and the ability to manage and motivate a team of 20-50 personnel is essential.

A candidate with sales management experience in the metals industry that would like to move to a general management role with total facility responsibility will also be strongly considered.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the company’s operations, including sales, purchasing, inventory management, and logistics
• Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and profitability
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
• Manage key customer relationships and identify opportunities for growth
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute business strategies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a leadership role in the metals distribution industry, with a focus on aerospace and defense
• Strong understanding of P&L management and financial analysis
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment

Benefits:

• Base Salary: $130,000 – $160,000 plus bonus
