Director of Sales and Marketing – Aluminum

Our client is a leading rapidly growing manufacturer of refractory products, dedicated to providing high-quality solutions to the aluminum industries. With a commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, our client has established a powerful reputation in the market.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to support their sales growth in the aluminum market. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth and market share as well as managing strategic accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and drive strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve company objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop value relationships with key customers, OEM’s, and contractors.
  • Serve as the account manager for strategic accounts.
  • Develop an industry-wide understanding of the different segments and their size within the aluminum refractories industry, assess the company’s current market share, determine their potential market share, develop a timeline for growing the market share, and define the key capabilities and products required to achieve the timeline.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of sales and marketing strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Monitor and report on sales and marketing performance against targets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Ability to understand market needs in terms of product, target customers, and pricing.
  • Experience in the aluminum processing industry is required.
  • A senior manager who is 75% commercially oriented and 25% technically oriented.
  • Refractory experience is extremely helpful, but knowledge of the aluminum industry market is essential.
  • Successful sales or marketing experience providing products to the aluminum industry, such as repair services, melting equipment, transfer equipment and installation services,
  • Strong decision-making abilities based on data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage processes and projects effectively.
  • Proactive and responsive, with a “can-do attitude”.
  • Strong organizational skills and willingness to take direction.
  • Tenacious and quick to adapt.

Base Compensation: $130,000 to $180,000 plus Bonus
