Plant Manager

Join our client, a nationally recognized marketer of tungsten carbide cutting tools to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) machine tool market. We are seeking a driven and experienced Plant Manager to lead our client’s manufacturing operations, driving efficiency, quality, and growth in a dynamic environment.


  • Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing plant, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to production schedules while maintaining quality standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production processes, reduce costs, and enhance overall plant performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, and supply chain to meet customer demands and ensure seamless operations.
  • Drive initiatives focused on Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other efficiency methodologies to enhance productivity and eliminate waste.
  • Manage and optimize the plant’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, with a focus on achieving P&L objectives.


  • 10 to 15 years of hands-on combined manufacturing and commercial experience within the carbide cutting tool industry.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing management within the carbide cutting tool industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated P&L responsibility within a manufacturing operation strongly preferred.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Lean Master, Lean Six Sigma, Scrum, or Kaizen Master preferred.
  • Proven track record in driving operational efficiency, process improvement, and achieving business goals.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.


The compensation for this position ranges from $120,000 to $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
