Field Sales Engineer

We are seeking an initiative-taking and results-oriented Cutting Tool Sales Representative to join our client’s dynamic sales team. You will be responsible for driving sales and promoting our client’s range of high-quality round and insert tooling to customers in various industries. This role requires a strong technical background in cutting tools, excellent communication skills, and a proven history in sales. You will play a crucial role in expanding our customer base and achieving revenue targets.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy.
- Find and target potential customers in industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, engineering, and other relevant sectors.
- Build and keep strong relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular communication, product demonstrations, and networking activities.
- Understand customer requirements and supply tailored solutions that meet their specific machining needs and challenges.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to highlight the features, benefits, and performance of our tooling.
- Collaborate with the technical team to provide customers with expert advice and recommendations on tool selection, speeds, feeds, and applications.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals on time.
- Stay updated with industry trends, cutting tool technologies, and competitive landscape to find new business opportunities.
- Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to promote our products, generate leads, and expand professional networks.
- Supply accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market feedback to management, highlighting sales progress, challenges, and potential areas of growth.
- Proven experience as a Sales Representative or similar role in the cutting tools industry. (Metalworking, Metal Cutting, Carbide Cutting Tools, Diamond Cutting Tools, High-Speed Steel Cutting Tools, Indexible Carbide Tooling, Solid Carbide, High Speed End Mills, etc.)
- Strong technical knowledge of cutting tool materials, geometries, and machining processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills to set up rapport and build trust with customers.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and supply effective tooling solutions.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a proactive approach to sales and business development.
- Familiarity with CRM software and other sales tools for effective pipeline management and reporting.
- A willingness to travel and attend industry events as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Base Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 +20% Bonus
