Davalyn Corporation has been entrusted with the task of filling a pivotal role as a Regional Sales Manager for a highly successful national tooling company. This is an exceptional career opportunity for an experienced cutting tool salesperson who is ready to step into a sales management role or is already established in a management capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading and supervising both inside sales support and field sales teams. Your primary duties include:

  • Managing and mentoring the sales team to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Providing expertise and guidance in machining, chipmaking, machine tooling, and cutting tools.
  • Explaining tooling speeds, feeds, geometries, and applications to support customer needs.
  • Managing sales and expense budgets effectively.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in both milling and turning applications.
  • Handling direct sales as well as sales through distribution channels.
  • Utilizing your existing network of contacts within the general manufacturing industry in the region.
  • Developing and implementing territory and region sales strategies.
  • Utilizing Office 365 and other relevant tools for efficient sales management.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • A strong background in machining, with experience in CNC Machine Tools, Metalworking, Diamond or High-Speed Steel Cutting Tools, Indexible Carbide Tooling, Solid Carbide, Threading, Grooving, Turning, Lathes, Milling, Drilling, Reaming, High-Speed End Mills, Drills, and related tools.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in managing a sales team in the chipmaking industry or the potential to do so.
  • Proven ability to explain tooling speeds/feeds, geometries, and applications.
  • Experience with managing sales and expense budgets.
  • Proficiency in both milling and turning applications.
  • Familiarity with both direct sales and sales through distribution channels.
  • Existing contacts in the general manufacturing sector within the region.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Territory and region planning experience.

Compensation:

This is a full-time career position offering competitive compensation, including:

  • Base salary in the range of $90,000 to $110,000.
  • Bonus and commission incentives to reward outstanding performance.
