Search for a Production Control Manager to join our client, a leading manufacturer in the chip making CNC industry specializing in the production of high-quality precision components. Our client prides itself on innovation, advanced technology, and exceptional customer service.

As a Production Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production planning and control processes to ensure efficient and timely execution of manufacturing operations. Your primary focus will be on optimizing production schedules, coordinating material availability, and ensuring the smooth flow of work orders through the production floor.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement production control strategies and procedures to optimize manufacturing efficiency and meet customer demands.
• Coordinate with various departments (such as manufacturing, engineering, and procurement) to develop production plans, schedules, and priorities.
• Monitor and adjust production schedules to ensure on-time delivery and maximize resource utilization.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components required for production.
• Analyze production data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely release of product designs and specifications.
• Conduct regular meetings with production supervisors and operators to review production progress, address bottlenecks, and resolve issues.
• Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the inventory control team to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other external stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices related to production control and implement relevant improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred. Work experience in lieu of formal education will be considered as well.
• Proven experience in production control or materials planning within the CNC machining industry, with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and scheduling methodologies, such as MRP, JIT, and Lean Manufacturing.
• Familiarity with CNC machining processes and the ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in using manufacturing software systems and ERP/MRP systems for production planning and control.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address production-related issues effectively.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proven leadership abilities with the aptitude to motivate and manage a team.
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards within the manufacturing industry.

Our client offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 – $80,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
