What You’ll Do:
- Install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC milling machines, CNC turning machines, machining centers, and related manufacturing equipment at customer facilities throughout the assigned region.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control issues to minimize downtime and restore machine performance.
- Perform preventive maintenance, machine inspections, precision alignments, spindle repairs, ball screw replacements, axis support bearing replacements, and repairs to automatic tool changers and pallet systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation to accurately diagnose and repair equipment.
- Troubleshoot Fanuc CNC controls and support customers with machine performance, operation, and technical issues.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment status, repair recommendations, and preventive maintenance opportunities.
- Complete accurate service documentation while managing service calls independently throughout the assigned territory.
- Represent the company with professionalism while developing strong, long-term customer relationships.
Preferred Background:
We’re interested in experienced CNC Field Service Engineers who have built their careers supporting precision manufacturing environments and servicing CNC machine tools.
Successful candidates will typically possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of CNC machine tool field service experience
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC milling machines and CNC turning machines
- Strong knowledge of Fanuc CNC controls
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems
- Experience installing, commissioning, calibrating, and maintaining CNC machine tools
- The ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience supporting manufacturers within aerospace, automotive, medical device, precision machining, industrial equipment, contract manufacturing, or other metalworking environments is highly desirable.
