Our client is a well-established, profitable manufacturer specializing in high-precision dimensional measurement products used throughout industrial manufacturing. Their products support machine shops, OEM manufacturers, aerospace suppliers, automotive manufacturers, and other precision manufacturing companies where accuracy, consistency, and quality are critical.

The company is seeking a General Manager to lead its precision gage manufacturing operation. What You’ll Do:

• Provide overall leadership for the manufacturing operation, taking ownership of day-to-day shop performance, production, quality, customer satisfaction, and financial results.
• Direct daily manufacturing activities including CNC precision machining, precision grinding, inspection, quality, scheduling, inventory, shipping, and workflow management.
• Provide both strategic leadership and hands-on operational support to ensure manufacturing, quality, customer, and financial objectives are achieved.
• Maintain the exceptionally tight tolerances and quality standards required within the precision gage industry.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, throughput, on-time delivery, quality, and profitability.
• Develop, mentor, and support production, quality, engineering, and administrative personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by ensuring exceptional product quality, responsiveness, and service.
• Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and improve operational results through disciplined cost control, process optimization, and sound business decision-making.
• Partner with ownership to establish business objectives and execute strategies that support the company’s continued growth and long-term success.

Preferred Background:

• Previous experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, Plant Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Shop Manager, or an experienced manufacturing leader ready to take the next step into a General Manager role.
• Direct experience within the precision gage manufacturing industry is required. Candidates should understand the products, manufacturing processes, customers, and quality standards unique to the gage industry.
• Extensive experience with CNC precision machining and manufacturing close-tolerance components.
• Strong understanding of precision gages, dimensional measurement systems, metrology, inspection equipment, and the manufacturing processes required to produce high-accuracy measurement products.
• Background with precision grinding, cylindrical grinding, surface grinding, lapping, honing, polishing, or similar ultra-precision finishing processes.
• Experience manufacturing precision gages, inspection fixtures, tooling, masters, or other precision measurement products.
• Demonstrated success improving manufacturing performance through process optimization, operational leadership, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead teams, develop employees, and build a culture centered on quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
• Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability, operational metrics, and overall manufacturing performance.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $130,000-$135,000
• Performance Bonus: Approximately $25,000 annually based on EBITDA performance and sales growth above $4 million.
