Maintenance Supervisor

A growing metals manufacturing and processing company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations and ensure equipment reliability in a high-temperature industrial environment.

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing all aspects of maintenance planning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, with experience in metals, foundry, aluminum, steel, or other heavy manufacturing environments, and the ability to mentor a team while maintaining plant uptime and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities across production operations.
  • Supervise and develop maintenance technicians, assign work orders, and manage priorities.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and reliability programs.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system issues.
  • Oversee the maintenance of furnaces, conveyors, melting equipment, casting systems, and production machinery.
  • Utilize CMMS systems to track maintenance tasks, downtime, and spare parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with production leadership to plan maintenance around operating schedules and minimize disruption.
  • Monitor key metrics such as uptime, MTBF, MTTR, and implement improvements to maximize equipment performance.
  • Manage contractors, spare parts inventory, and maintenance budgets to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or lead maintenance role.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC/automation systems.
  • Proven ability to manage maintenance programs in metals manufacturing, foundry, aluminum, steel, or heavy industrial operations.
  • Working knowledge of TPM, CMMS, reliability engineering, and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with capital projects, equipment installation, and continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.

Why This Role:

Compensation: $80,000 – $130,000 base salary + performance bonus
