We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Representative to join our client, a leading provider of high-temperature textiles and refractory products. This company offers innovative solutions that replace asbestos in the industry. With a strong focus on the aluminum sector, they specialize in providing high-quality, safe, and efficient materials to improve smelting operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the aluminum industry, with specific experience in smelting and pot rooms. This role requires a proven track record in solution selling and the ability to establish and maintain relationships with key clients, particularly smelters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to promote and sell high-temperature textiles and refractories to the aluminum industry.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the smelting sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at smelters.
  • Provide expert consultation on the benefits and applications of the company’s products as replacements for asbestos.
  • Deliver tailored solutions to meet client needs, focusing on improving safety and efficiency in their operations.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, contributing to the overall growth and success of the company.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales within the aluminum industry, particularly with a focus on smelting and pot rooms.
  • Experience selling to the following is highly desired: Alouette Aluminum Smelter (Aluminerie Alouette), Alma Smelter (Rio Tinto), Arvida Smelter (Rio Tinto), Bécancour Smelter (ABI – Aluminerie de Bécancour Inc.), Deschambault Smelter (Rio Tinto), Grande-Baie Smelter (Rio Tinto), Alcoa’s Baie-Comeau Smelter
  • Demonstrated success in solution selling, with the ability to understand and address client needs effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of high-temperature textiles and refractories.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel within the territory to meet with clients and attend industry events.
